Parent Teacher Organization (PTO)

Beechwood Knoll's Parent Teacher Organization (PTO)

BKS School 2008

Our school has a thriving PTO. Generally, the PTO raises funds to support and enrich education at our school as well as provides out-of-school activities and events for families. Sponsoring field trips and special class projects, as well as enticing students with two Book Fairs for the love of reading are several examples of how our PTO enhances our school. Family events include a Kindergarten Meet and Greet at the beginning of the school year, an Annual Trunk or Treat (A Halloween Trick or Treat tradition at our school’s parking lot), a Larry’s Lap Fun Run, movie nights, and various fundraising activities. In an effort to expand involvement, PTO meetings are scheduled bimonthly from 7:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.  To view our meeting and event schedule, please click here.

Beechwood Knoll Alumni Scholarship

The BKS PTO annually offers four $500 scholarship awards, two for each Quincy and North Quincy High School, to deserving students who are alumni of Beechwood Knoll Elementary School.

To apply, students must submit an application through their high school guidance office, which includes a brief essay of at least one paragraph reflecting on how their experiences at Beechwood Knoll have impacted their life.

Applications must be submitted by the last school day prior to April vacation at 2:30 PM. A panel composed of community members, including families and teachers, will review and select the recipients through a blinded application process.

This scholarship aims to recognize the achievements of Beechwood alumni and support their continued educational journey.
